BPP Registration
We help you to solve your problems.
BPP Registration / Renewal
The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) is the regulatory authority responsible for setting standards, monitoring, and certifying procurement processes for businesses that wish to bid for or execute government contracts in Nigeria.
Every company that wants to do business with any Ministry, Department, or Agency (MDA) of the Federal Government must be registered and certified by the BPP.
This registration gives you a BPP Interim Registration Report (IRR) — proof that your company meets all compliance and eligibility standards to participate in federal government contracts, tenders, and procurement opportunities.
Importance of BPP Registration
Having a valid BPP certificate means your company:
- Can legally bid for government contracts and tenders.
- Is recognized and approved by the Bureau of Public Procurement.
- Has demonstrated compliance with federal laws and corporate governance standards.
- Gains credibility when submitting proposals to government and large organizations.
- Can access exclusive public procurement portals and listings.
Without a valid BPP certificate, your company cannot apply for or be awarded any federal contract.
Eligibility Requirements
- CAC Certificate of Incorporation
- Company’s Memorandum & Articles of Association
- Company Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) – for the last 3 years
- PENCOM Compliance Certificate
- ITF Compliance Certificate
- NSITF Compliance Certificate
Validity & Renewal
- The BPP certificate is valid for one (1) year.
- Companies must renew annually to maintain eligibility for government contracts.
- Renewal requires updated versions of compliance documents (PENCOM, ITF, NSITF, and TCC).
Failing to renew means your company will no longer appear on the approved list of federal contractors and may be disqualified from tendering.
Processing Timeline
- Initial registration: 2 weeks (depending on document accuracy).
- Renewal: 3–7 working days if all compliance certificates are up to date.
